Sometime around 1968 a hippie calling herself Gee Sus moved into an old abandoned farmhouse in the north east countryside of Essex with friend, Penny Rimbaud. They had both felt disillusioned by what they saw going on in society around them and had decided to finally try and make a real change. They chose to take the sixties idea of "do it yourself" to a new level. Quitting the art school they had been attending together

as examples of superior collage. Outside of her artwork she also teaches Thai Chi. As for people who have influenced or just plain borrowed and copied her artwork and styles, she doesn't seem to care very much "I've seen a lot of imagery that has been taken from what I've done. But I think that's great, I don't mind that. 'Cause that's what art's about anyway. Art's about robbery, and using it your own way."
