This and other events that occur throughout the play such as; Biff walking in on Willy with another woman and Willy allowing his boys to steal lumber from the apartment buildings cause Willy to victimize his whole family, including himself. This in turn leads to Biff growing up not knowing who he really is, Happy becoming a womanizer and to the eventual suicide of Willy Loman.
