Finishing the book a week ago, I think I still need to give it some time to sink in. This novel, by Timothy Findley, is a VERY dark version of the biblical Noah story. The characters have now been roundly completed, and are vividly drawn and universally flawed, in a typical Findley-esque fashion. Unpredictably, the story comes to a surprizingly bleak conclusion. …showed last 75 words of 1036 total…end I find myself relating more strongly then ever to the notion that at the end of every day there is a pertinent dread in the expectation of a brand new tomorrow and a brand new age. Not only a new age, but a brand new and very foriegn world. This novel is a great commentary on humanity. Controlling the future is impossible, therefore we must compel our-selves to make the best of the situation.
