From the outside looking in, it seemed as if the Ibo people were savages when in reality even the most savage things they did, had a purpose. Because the Europeans never took the time to find out why the Ibo people did what they did, they never knew whom they were. Thus causing all European's opinions of the Ibo people to be superficial and misconstrued.
