as to whether women are currently being treated fairly in Islamic countries. And yet there are many questions as to whether or not they should be, with the Quran as the central piece of evidince. However, this is all open to inteprtation, and if one can interpret these things to show that men and women should be treated equally, how is it possible that this book can be the sole basis of somany womens' sufferings?
