is not a place of suffering. Though the story is set during apparently simple times, starring uneducated women who believed in different gods. Dinah shows a cynical nature, and it can be concluded that these women (midwife) are more complicated than most men at that time. Dinah always tried to endure in spite of the hard events that she suffered.
