In the 1930's and 40's European Jews suffered through horrible injustices at the hands of the Nazi party in Germany, more specifically Adolf Hitler. This long strain of torture and extermination affected not only the Jews, but also gypsies, the homeless, homosexuals, the mentally challenged, and anyone else that did not fit into Hitler's view of his perfect society. Everywhere in the camps people lie half dead, starving and injured. When the Nazi's had lost power many of the SS guards had fled the camp, leaving their prisoners no means of escape. The Holocaust was finally over but it still has not stopped affecting those who were persecuted and their descendants.
