Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., was born on the eleventh day of November 1922, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the grandson of the first licensed architect in Indiana, and the son of a wealthy architect. Acceptance plays a very big role in the book. Billy forgives everyone for doing things to him and he never gets angry. But acceptance has its bad part, when Billy drives through the black ghetto ignoring the suffering there. This shows that acceptance is good, but only to a certain degree.
