All of the minor characters, allow the reader to clearly understand the plot and realize that families can work out their ordeals, a person does not necessarily have to conform to a ever-changing society, and life should be enjoyed and successful, which comes with a positive attitude. These characters underwent phases in their lives, where they changed physically, emotionally, and spiritually, forever. As a result, everyone prospered, and had a staid, normal life.
