The Place Value book contains five essays about how to live well by ecologically, politically, economically, spiritually, and in community. These essays are quite related to the topics from our guest presentations and class discussions. From what I have heard and read, I'm able to describe what Iowa has about these values.

our heart belongs, our home. Somewhere that can give me a peace of mind and a state of well-being person. I've always been the type of person who places lots of emphasis on the home situation. I need space and comfort. Living in a place like that allows me to start each day with the expectance that this new day will be a great day, and that I will do something good with my life.
