On Saturday March 1st at 8:00 pm, I attended the Mahaffey Theater, also known as the Bayfront Center, located at 400 First Street South in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The Mahaffey Theater was a spectacular looking performing arts center on the inside. It had a capacity of about 2,000 guests and is considered to be one of the most beautiful rooms in central Florida. …showed last 75 words of 688 total…uplifting mysticism that reflects the great Romantic tradition. In closing, I found this show to be worth the high price ticket. The sound was terrific and the audience was captivated by it. I thought Amy Schwartz Moretti had a commanding stage presence combined with precise lyricism. Stephan Sanderling conducted with much enthusiasm. I would recommend Sibelius' Symphony No. 2 presented by the Florida Orchestra to anyone, especially to those that are not familiar with classical music.
