Yet, the secrets within the slogans would inevitably destroy the power of Ingsoc and give rise to power for the people through freedom. Ideally, freedom is utopia for all societies, yet we see similarities in our present time to each of the control mechanisms of Ingsoc. So, is 1984 the mirror to our society?
