Throughout history many art movements have emerged that artists and styles can be classified under. One large distinguishable movement was that of the Italian Renaissance. The Renaissance is categorised as the period between c. 1450 and c.1600. This period saw great development in our art history, and the recognition of many master talents. Through the analysis of Masaccio's The Holy Trinity and Raffaelo's School of Athens it is clear to see that there was modernistic advancement in the periods between the Early and Late Renaissance. Ideals such as naturalism, scholarly humanism, classical forms, scientific perspective and religion were all explored during the 15th to 16th centuries. Through the analysis of these issues and several more, it was clear that there was a growing tendency towards modernism.
