To make the proof of their hypothesis more complete, Apter et Al should have conducted some sort of test or survey that would tell how much Western influence was present in each subculture. If Apter et Al would have taken the amount of Western influence into account in their proof of their hypothesis, I feel that it would have made their hypothesis more concrete.
