Taoism, Hinduism, and Shinto Religions Taoism began about 11 th century BCE in China. Lao Tzu which means the Old Boy, the Old Fellow, or the Grand Old Master, originated the Taoism religion. The Tao sacred book is called Tao Te Ching. The place to want to be in the future is the ultimate reality that exceeds the reach of the senses, if revealed, it's sharpness fullness and glory could not be beared by the vision-
