In this essay I will compare and contrast two statues of different time periods. The first statue is Vajrayaksa, from the Kamakura period. This small sculpture made of wood and dates back to 1185 in Japan. The second sculpture is Iret-iruw: mummy, from the Ptolemaic period. Vajrayaksa is idealistic by representing a supernatural being that protects the Buddhas from harm. To conclude both sculptures represent a being of high importance. Iret-irew is more naturalist and Vajrayaksa is more idealistic, but both are spiritual. They both represent the culture in which they were made and are in great detail.
