Biblical Morality was framed over 2000 years ago in the Middle East where people were far more nomadic and primitive. Our western society, 2000 years on from then is obviously a lot different and therefore Humanists would say that their biblical morality is now irrelevant to our day and age. different ways from the past to suit our modern, western society. Personally, I think people who stick to what it says in the Bible too rigidly could cause more harm than good with evidence of all kinds of terrible discrimination. However, in this area I do think there is enough room for Humanists and Christians -with viewpoints flexible beyond the bible- to get along well and with common sense, keep our living standards relatively high.
