Personally, I think people who stick to what it says in the Bible too rigidly could cause more harm than good with evidence of all kinds of terrible discrimination. However, in this area I do think there is enough room for Humanists and Christians -with viewpoints flexible beyond the bible- to get along well and with common sense, keep our living standards relatively high.
