Firestarter by Stephen King;A Brave New World by Aldus Huxley. Altering genes for better or for worse always is going to get both negative and positive reactions. Both Stephen King and Aldus Huxley's books deal with genetic alteration. Stephen King has been more of a horror writer, whereas Aldus Huxley writes mainly on scientific satire. Another similarity is both experiments are run by a "crazy" doctor or director. All in all, both were great reads and there will be many great books that can be so different that they are similar.
