America has never forgotten Benjamin Franklin because of what he did. He wrote as much as he possibly could. He became famous for being a scientist, an inventor, a statesman, a printer, a philosopher, a musician, and an economist. Today, we honor Ben Franklin as one of our Founding Fathers and as one of America's greatest citizens. Although he was born in Boston, the city of Philadelphia is remembered as the home of Ben Franklin.

Great Britain. A year later, while in Paris, Ben watches Montgolfier brothers become the first men to fly in a balloon. In 1784 he negotiates treaties with Prussia and other European countries. A year later Ben returns to Philadelphia. Two years later Ben is elected president of the Pennsylvania Society for Promoting the Abolition of Slavery, and he also serves as delegate to the Constitutional Convention. On April 17, 1790 Ben dies in Philadelphia, at the age of 84.
