This report is about one of the many things Santa Anna did. This report is about when Santa Anna became ruler of Mexico, took over the Alamo in Texas, and when he was captured a day after the battle of San Jacinto.
In 1833, General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna came to power in Mexico. Two years later, he threw out the Mexican constitution.

The battle of San Jacinto lasted only 18 minutes. Although they were out numbered, Texans killed 630 Mexicans and captured 700 more. The following day Texans captured Santa Anna himself. They forced him to sign a treaty granting Texas its independence.
Afterwards he was sentenced to an execution. Santa Anna requested for his bed which was brought into the camp. He laid on it and didn't sleep a wink that night, being of constant dread of his Assassination.
