Drugs are a problem clearly evident in our society with millions of people world wide addicted to various fatal drugs. Drug addiction can affect people of all ages and eventually lead to crime, poverty and even death. Two songs that deal with the issue of drug addiction are 'Carousel' by Linkin Park and 'Just' by Radiohead. Finally, the unsympathetic tone and attitude of the persona influences us to feel unsympathetic towards drug addicts as it only conveys drug addicts in a negative voice. Both songs deal with the issue of drug addiction but 'Carousel' by Linkin Park positions us to feel sympathetic towards drug addicts whereas 'Just' positions us to feel unsympathetic and negative towards addicts.
